Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Babeldub (the "Service"), operated by [Legal entity name], [registered address] ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

Babeldub provides AI-assisted video localization: transcription, translation, subtitle generation, and synthetic voiceover (including optional voice cloning). Output is generated automatically and may contain errors; you are responsible for reviewing it before use.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old or have authority to bind your organisation.

4. Your content & rights

• You retain ownership of the videos, audio and text you upload ("Your Content").
• You grant us a limited licence to process Your Content solely to provide the Service (including sending it to our AI subprocessors — see the Privacy Policy).
• You represent that you have all necessary rights and consents to upload Your Content and to create synthetic or cloned voices from it, and that doing so does not infringe any third party's rights (including image, voice, privacy and IP rights).

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to create misleading impersonations, deepfakes intended to deceive, unlawful, defamatory, or infringing content, or to clone a person's voice without their consent. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.

6. Subscriptions & payment

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. Plans renew automatically until cancelled. Usage limits (minutes per month) apply per plan. Prices may change with reasonable notice. See the Refund Policy.

7. AI output disclaimer

Transcriptions, translations and synthetic voices are produced by automated systems and are provided "as is". We do not warrant their accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or that they are free of errors. You are solely responsible for reviewing and using the output.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. On termination, we may delete Your Content per our retention practices.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, and disputes are subject to the competent courts of [city], France, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections.
